Cairanne is a well known wine village of the Southern Côtes du Rhône. The "Secret de Campane" comes from the vineyards located in the Principality of Orange, in Provence, (on the left bank of the Rhône river), facing the
Dentelles de Montmirail and the Mont Ventoux. This medium bodied alternative to Pinot Noir is a blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Carignan, 10% Cinsault and 10% Merlot and boasts a beautiful cherry red color. The aromas are of fresh raspberries and red fruits with light pepper and cherry on the palate. The tannins are soft and approachable making it a nice match for soft cheese, pasta, and BBQ.
