This wine is produced from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes which are carefully selected and handpicked in mid-October from vines situated in the Valpolicella Classica towns of Marano di Valpolicella and Negrar but in particular from the vineyard called “Persegà Alto”, just down the road from Antolini wine cellar.
This recioto has a deep red garnet colour with purple reflections, an intense, lingering bouquet, with cherry, sour cherry, cranberry notes and a hint of violet, cinnamon and white pepper. The flavour is sweet and harmonious, never cloying, blooming and extremely fruity with a hint of red jam and cinnamon. The ideal serving temperature is 16/18° C and it is best served after a meal with hot desserts or chocolate.
