Bodegas Gratias, Familia y Viñedos is located in Manchueala, just outside of the DO, approximately 75 miles west of Valencia. Together, the Gomez family works 10 hectares of exclusively indigenous varieties, many of which they have helped bring back from the brink of extinction. Their organic vines range from 30 to 80 years old, and are all bush vines, untilled and dry farmed. In the cellar they work with minimal intervention, with most of their wines totaling out at only 15ppm total sulfur.
Got means "glass" in Valencian , it symbolizes the recovery of wine consumption, as something everyday. Our Mediterranean culture has integrated wine as a food that accompanies us daily, whether we are alone or in company.
This wine expresses the typical characteristics of the Bobal variety thanks to the respect that the jar has towards the wine during the aging.
The soils where the Got strains are found are calcareous and red clay, that is, they have a high iron content.
100% Bobal red wine from sustainable agriculture vineyards . After fermentation, it goes on to make a 4-month aging in clay jars.
Finally, after a small filtration, the wine is bottled. Being a preparation without clarification or cold stabilization, natural sediments may appear in the bottle.
