Franco Terpin can seemingly do no wrong. From his pristine and thoroughly remote location on the Italian/Slovenian border (he has vineyards in both countries), he produces some of our absolute favorite natural wines. This wine is made entirely from the indigenous white grape, Ribolla Gialla, and maintains a perfect balance of complexity, bright refreshment and funkiness.
Franco Terpins Quinto Quarto range draws its name from the last cuts of the animal in ancient Rome, the offal etc, basically the good bits used predominately by the working people . The wines are priced lower and therefore accessible to all . The Quinto Quarto Rebulla has 3 days maceration on the skins then fermented in stainless steel .
