Vinco was born at the end of 2014 with the aim of re-evaluating and preserving the native Canaiolo Nero vine, locally called "Cannaiola". The project began by locating and renting vineyards in the most desirable parts of the territory of Marta and partly of Capodimonte on Lake Bolsena, and continued to win the first vintage (2015) by fully supporting the dictates of healthy farming and environmentally friendly. The future of Vinco is in the plant of new vineyards from massive selections, and in the production of a range of wines from Canaiolo Nero.
The territory of Marta and Capodimonte lies in the southern part of Lake Bolsena, and is located on the volcanic mountains of Volsini. The altimetry of the two communes is hilly between 250 and 450 m asl and enjoys a particular microclimate thanks to the mitigation of the lake of Bolsena.
Environmental conditions of the place and of the production area: The morphology of the ground in hills sloping down to 380 m asl and the particular ventilation of the breezes originated from the microclimate of the lake, combined with volcanic soils of the frank-sandy and franco-clayey type, make the a land dedicated to the cultivation of vines, and the production of fine, scented and ready-to-drink wines.
