Appellation: Santa Barbara County
"La La" is our monovarietal Grenache Rosé from Los Alamos, Santa Barbara County. The etymology behind the name is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the initalism of L.A. but really pertains to being in a state where one is out of touch with reality. "La La" is a transformative experience into beautiful fruit and floral aromatics, heightened senses, and the chance to escape reality and enter conviviality and indulgence.
The Grenache Noir grapes for "La La" were harvested early in the morning of the September 25th , 2017 and brought straight to the winery where they were lightly and slowly pressed. The direct-press juice was transferred to stainless steel tank and aged on fine lees until bottling on February 15, 2018. In the glass, the wine shows colors of light salmon and pink, with a slight orange/peach hue. The resulting wine is highly aromatic: strawberry, lemon, pink rose petal, grapefruit and crushed rock. On the palate the wine has a vertical profile and is tensile and nervy, with high acid and medium weight. It has a long fresh, mineral/fruit/floral finish.
As the French would say..."Santé!"
